It really puts me off mapping for CS:GO, when I make maps I pour my heart and soul into them both in terms of design and of gameplay, but I feel like if I do that for CS:GO my map will be quickly forgotten about in favour of scrubby looking killbox maps like this one.

They make a basic layout, haphazardly slap some ugly out-of-place textures about and then call it finished.īut then the maps that have had tonnes of thought and effort put into them seem to be forgotten and then never played, while the lazy shitty looking ones become the most popular ones.

People seem to put the least amount of effort possible into making their maps look decent. Hell, it seems to be a trend among CS maps that has always bothered me.

There is literally NO reason that Zombie Mode/Zombie Escape maps should be this horrendous both in layout and appearance. The problem isn't the game mode in my opinion, it's just the shitty lazy-ass community maps created by someone on their first day of using Hammer that the server is hosting.
